Welcome to the „Landgasthof Deutsche Eiche“ inn located in Western Munich. For more than 115 years and six generations we have pleased our guests with our well known and medaled Bavarian cuisine and our friendly guest service in our traditional beer garden under old chestnut trees or in one of our lovingly decorated separate rooms. When time flies by and it gets late we gladly accommodate you in one of our 19 cozy hotel rooms. Thanks to the public transport you may reach the city center in 20 minutes and still enjoy the rural setting of our inn.
Our name “Deutsche Eiche” means “German oak”. The inn was built in 1899 and experienced its first boom in the golden twenties under the management of Rosa und Johann Reisländer.
In 1929 there was the first reconstruction and extension of the inn. The adjacent butcher shop was built in 1965. From 1966 to 1969 the inn was under the management of Rosa Conrad, daughter of Rosa und Johann Reisländer.
Rosemary took over the management of the inn joined by her husband Walter Mendel. Since 2007 Sebastian Mendel, the fifth born son of Rosemary and Walter Mendel has been welcoming the guests.
We are looking forward meeting you!
